South Florida honors First Responders on 9/11

Bokamper’s in Fort Lauderdale will host its 4th Annual Law Enforcement and First Responders Appreciation Day (pictured) beginning this evening at 6 p.m. Events will include the National Anthem, a  wreath ceremony, Missing  Man Tables, Police Pipe & Drum Corps of Florida and more.

All first responders and members of law enforcement will receive 50% off their appetizer or entrée throughout the day at all Bokamper’s locations.

Brimstone Doral and Brimstone Woodfire Grill

Brimstone Doral and Brimstone Woodfire Grill in Pembroke Pines will be hosting blood drives in collaboration with One Blood this afternoon. Those that donate will receive either a complimentary mocktail or flatbread from the restaurant. Additionally, all first responders, military personnel and veterans with a valid ID will receive a complimentary appetizer for the table.

“Thank You First Responder”

Tomorrow afternoon, “Thank You First Responder” will host a mental health first aid training for up to 30 first responders at the 2nd Annual Broward Mental Health Summit. This course will be conducted over eight hours and will include topics that empower local First Responders to support one another and the communities they serve through a better understanding of mental health.
