Rebecca Bratter serves as the firm-wide deputy managing partner of Greenspoon Marder. She is responsible for the firm’s strategy and growth, internally and externally, as well as various duties including hiring and firm accounting. Bratter is the youngest leading member of the firm’s Executive and Management Committees, working closely alongside the co-founders.

How do you unwind after a long day of work? We just bought our son Max the game Family Feud. It’s so much fun to play together!
What challenges have you faced in your career, and how did you overcome them? The impact of COVID-19 has been one of the biggest challenges I have faced in my career. However, it forced me to innovate and consider new ways of connecting with clients and colleagues that were not obvious in “normal” circumstances.
What has been the most monumental moment of your career thus far? Being named Deputy Managing Partner for an Am Law 200 firm is an accomplishment I am honored and humbled by.
Who are your role models? My grandmother who worked tirelessly to build a successful business here in South Florida and Gerry Greenspoon and Michael Marder. They have played an unparalleled role in my career.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten? There is no substitute for hard work, but always remember to differentiate yourself.
What advice would you give a young woman at the start of her career? I encourage young women to work at a company that allows them to express their ideas and talk about their vision for the future of their career and their firm. Even when they are only 25!
How does being a woman has impacted your career? I appreciate the perspective that I am afforded as a woman, in that I can relate to other mothers, young aspirational women, and female attorneys. While I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work for and help shape a firm that values talent and business acumen regardless of gender identity, I recognize that there is still work to be done to proliferate this concept throughout the legal industry. I will use my experience to help promote gender equality and raise women’s profiles throughout the business community.
