FoundCare, Inc. Hires Behavioral Specialist to Meet Growing Demand

Citing a need to expand behavioral services due to the challenges COVID-19 inflicted on millions of Americans, FoundCare, Inc. in Palm Beach County recently announced the hiring of Dr. Serge Thys Sr. as its Director of Psychiatry.

“The past year has been very stressful for many individuals, and the need for behavioral health services has increased,” says Yolette Bonnet, CEO of FoundCare Inc. “By bringing Dr. Thys on full time as our Director of Psychiatry, we are able to expand services to those who are most in need.”

Dr. Thys will serve as a psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in the field. After earning his MD from Universidad Centro de Estudios Tecnologicos in the Dominican Republic, he completed residencies in pediatric medicine, psychiatry and child adolescent psychiatry. He has been offering primary care services at the health center on a part-time basis since 2016.

FoundCare, Inc. offers seven locations in Palm Beach County with services in pediatric and adult primary care, women’s health, behavioral health, disease management, dentistry, pharmacy, laboratory services and x-rays. As a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center, FoundCare offers a sliding fee scale based on household size and income.
