Broward Workshop Announces First Female Board Chair

Juliet Roulhac has been named Broward Workshop’s first female board chair. The nonprofit organization represents over 100 of the county’s major businesses and professions. Along with Roulhac, the organization announced new officers for 2021-22 featuring Vice-chair Steve Hudson, Treasurer Tim Petrillo and Secretary Dodie Keith- Lazowick. The selected officers will serve a two-year term. They were chosen based on their leadership roles at their companies and their charitable contributions to the community.

“I am honored to be the first woman to chair the Broward Workshop. Diversity in our communities is part of what makes Florida a great place to live, work and raise a family,” Roulhac says, who serves as Director of External Affairs for Florida Power & Light Company.

Broward Workshop appoints local business leaders to find positive solutions to the area’s critical issues to encourage cooperative effort between various entities to bridge common goals. The organization is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2021. The nomination-only membership has grown to feature 117 of the area’s key decision-makers, business, and community leaders focused on building a more secure and sustainable future for Broward County. Featured improvement sectors include transportation/infrastructure, resilience, technology, education/workforce development, urban core/affordable housing, cultural affairs, racial equity and social justice, technology and tourism.

“We are continuously looking for the best and the brightest leaders, like Juliet, to help shape the future of Broward,” says Kareen Boutros, Executive Director for Broward Workshop.
