Banesco USA Creates Business and Professional Division for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses

The community bank in Miami boasts $3.54 billion in assets with six branches in South Florida and Puerto Rico.

Banesco USA has recently launched its Business and Professional Division to cater to the diverse business requirements of its clients. This newly formed team will offer tailor-made banking solutions to entrepreneurs, small business owners and professionals. With the changing economic landscape of South Florida, Banesco USA recognizes the need for a specialized banking division that can redefine the traditional banking experience for businesses and professionals. The aim is to provide all-encompassing solutions that streamline customer service efforts and enhance the banking experience.

“With the aim of serving as a trusted financial partner, our Business & Professional Division is focused on delivering a client-centric approach,” Calixto (Cali) Garcia-Velez says, president and CEO of Banesco USA. “As established bankers, our dedicated relationship managers will provide clients with personalized, innovative banking solutions to support the success of small businesses and independent professionals in our community.”

Recently, Banesco has welcomed a team of skilled banking professionals to support the growth and demands of the division. Among the new hires are Lisa Gonzalez, who holds the position of Senior Vice President and Business and Professional Manager; Luis Gonzalez, who serves as Senior Vice President and Team Manager for the Business & Professional Relationship Managers; and Terri Castellano, who leads the Client Relationship Team as Senior Vice President and Team Leader. With their expertise and leadership, they will spearhead the division’s progress.

The bank’s new team will focus on creating new business opportunities by providing loans, deposits, residential mortgages and treasury management services. They aim to reach out to the varied business community in the South Florida region, including locally established companies like distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers, and professional services clients such as attorneys, physicians, dentists, and veterinarians. They will also target entrepreneurs, including business owners and real estate investors.
