RosaNegra to Make U.S. Debut in Brickell

It will be RosaNegra’s flagship outpost in the U.S. and its sixth location worldwide.

Robert Rivani, president of Black Lion and a prominent figure in the real estate industry, will bring the highly acclaimed RosaNegra, a popular establishment from Mexico, to the U.S. by opening a Miami location. Rivani has secured a 10-year lease with the owners of RosaNegra, Grupo RosaNegra, to occupy the ground floor space at SLS Brickell, which will take up 13,634 square feet. The new addition to the area is just around the corner from Bad Bunny’s Gekko restaurant, which can be found at the SLS LUX Brickell condo building, owned by Rivani. Set to open in Spring 2024, RosaNegra will also boast 4,634 square feet of outdoor space for guests.

“Bringing this legendary restaurant group to South Florida is right on brand with Black Lion’s grand vision to transform the way Miami does hospitality,” Rivani says. “RosaNegra will add an incredible energy to the area’s social scene and elevate the luxury restaurant experience in Brickell.”

RosaNegra offers a unique experience that pays tribute to the vibrant Latin American culture and cuisine. RosaNegra breaks away from traditional formalities and creates an unforgettable atmosphere by combining gourmet culinary delights with top-notch entertainment and personalized attention. The restaurant is deeply committed to bringing only the best products and freshest ingredients to its eclectic menu. They pride themselves on exploring gastronomic traditions worldwide, focusing on Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, and Mexico. Their signature dishes are meticulously designed to be both authentic and daring, featuring unique ingredients like Tasmanian smoked trout, Spanish carabineros, and Wagyu from Japan. Their artisan cocktails are as carefully crafted, using signature infusions and natural ingredients to create beautiful and delicious drinks. The atmosphere is just as vibrant and exciting, with live music, a resident DJ, and high-level entertainment to create truly unforgettable experiences.

The recently closed deal involving Fabio Faerman and Sebastian Faerman, who FA Commercial represented, marks the latest addition to Black Lion’s impressive dining portfolio. This acquisition brings the value of Black Lion’s portfolio to over $200 million in South Florida alone, boasting a remarkable collection of popular restaurant tenants spread across key districts like Miami Beach, Wynwood, Brickell, and Downtown. Some of the notable names in Black Lion’s portfolio include Gekko in Brickell SLS LUX, Philippe by Philippe Chow at One Ocean South Beach, Catch Miami Beach at the Continuum high-rise, Amara at Paraiso with chef Michael Schwartz, Wynwood Jungle with a newly opened Fable rooftop restaurant, GAIA on the ground floor of the Marea condo building, and Delilah at Brickell Bay boardwalk.

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands.
