Jacqueline A. Travisano is a recognized leader in the South Florida community. Dr. Travisano is the Executive Vice President for Business and Finance and Chief Operating Officer of the University of Miami and sits on the Board of AutoNation where she chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee. Dr. Travisano holds a Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, an M.B.A. from Chatham University, a B.S. from Robert Morris University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

What is your favorite South Florida dining destination? Il Gabbiano [on Biscayne Boulevard].
What do you like to do on weekends? Being on or near the water on the weekends if my favorite place to be.
How do you unwind from a long day at work? Long, hot bath
What is your favorite quote? Perfect is the enemy of the good.
From whom, or what, do you draw inspiration? First and foremost, my husband and my children, but I am blessed to work with outstanding colleagues at the University of Miami that inspire me every day.
What has been the biggest accomplishment of your career? Reaching the highest levels of leadership while raising a family of outstanding young adults
What has been the most challenging moment in your career and how did you overcome it? Certainly, the period of March 2020 to August 2020 comes immediately to mind. The university community dealt with uncertainty, unprecedented work modalities, financial mitigations, and more as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We overcame these challenges through a team approach to leadership that enabled us to execute quickly and successfully.
What advice would you give an up and coming professional? Become a professional that gives back to your community in whichever way fits you best.
