Belinda Paulicin has over 25 years of experience implementing and providing trauma-focused interventions and advocating for individuals, children, and families. Paulicin is the Vice President of Programs and Services at Gilda’s Club of South Florida, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community (CSC), the world’s largest provider of professionally led cancer support. She’s a published author in child development and mental health. Paulicin created and heads several health equity initiatives to promote cancer awareness through interactive workshops, connections to community resources, and presentations emphasizing the importance of screening and early detection. Paulicin is passionate about serving underserved populations and building partnerships to address marginalized communities’ challenges. Her approach to collaboration has addressed barriers that traditionally prevent groups and organizations from forming relationships and agreeing on common goals. The Cancer Support Community awarded Paulicin two national recognitions for Gilda’s Club South of Florida’s Health Equity Initiatives and Distress Screening for the Spanish-Speaking Community. In honor of her achievements, Paulicin was selected as one of 12 individuals for the Community Foundation of Broward’s “Hidden Heroes of the Pandemic.” Dr. Paulicin possesses a Doctorate and Master’s Degree in social work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida.
