Broward Public Library Foundation to Celebrate 13th Annual LitLunch

The Broward Public Library Foundation will celebrate its 13th annual LitLunch event featuring Xochitl Gonzalez, whose debut novel, Olga Dies Dreaming, has been named a Best of 2022 by TIMEVogue and the Boston Globe. The women-centric luncheon entails gathering avid South Florida readers, businesswomen, and community leaders who will listen and learn from the stimulating author.

“Xochitl has written a fascinating story of a status-driven wedding planner in New York, who’s dealing with her social ambitions, absent mother and Puerto Rican roots,” Laurie Menekou Ernest-Jones says, Co-Chair of the luncheon.

The event begins at 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 17 at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale, 2800 Yacht Club Blvd. During the luncheon, guests can enjoy complimentary rosé wine followed by book signings, shop the Kendra Scott jewelry line and participate in a vacation drawing and raffle baskets.

LitLunch will serve as the kickoff for the Library Foundation’s signature fundraising event, A Night of Literary Feasts. In addition to The Haller Foundation serving as the presenting sponsor, Tripp Scott, Carla Albano, Bank United, and OverDrive also support LitLunch.

The cost is $120 for an individual ticket, which includes a copy of Olga Dies Dreaming. Premium tables and sponsorships are available.
