Crunch Gym is Having a Growth Spurt

Launched near Astor Place in New York’s Greenwich Village more than three decades ago, Crunch Gym immediately drew downtown buzz for its No Judgements ethos and its regular sightings of actor Christopher Meloni. These days, Crunch is taking over Florida, with seven fitness clubs in South Florida and a new 23,000-square-foot club on the way in West Pembroke Pines. Look for a HIIT Zone, small group training, multiple turf areas for stretching and functional training, and a cardio fitness area with over 50 pieces of premier equipment. CR Fitness, Crunch’s largest franchisee, is overseen by CEO Tony Scrimale, who was recruited for the role in January.
