Elegant Food With Perfectly Paired Wines Await Diners at Diplomat Prime

The restaurant was honored in the 2024 Restaurant Awards by Wine Spectator.

If thoughts of enjoying an elegant dinner are suddenly taking over your thoughts, it’s time to treat yourself to an experience like no other. An experience meant for special occasions, even if that special occasion is simply one where the end goal is to treat yourself. When it comes to top-notch dining, we recommend a visit to Diplomat Prime, located at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, is worth a visit. It’s the type of place where time stands still, and you can feel this way as soon as you step inside the doors of the iconic restaurant.

I recently had the chance to indulge on a meal at Diplomat Prime with my husband. As soon as we sat down in the living room, one that is most certainly fit for royalty, we knew we were in for a treat.

Not only is the dining room dimly lit, but it works well for a romantic date night or a cozy dinner with loved ones. And, once there, expect nothing but the best of the best.

Let’s begin with the cocktails and drinks that pair great with the restaurant’s dishes. The extensive cocktail list offers delicious and classic options such as a classic old-fashioned and an espresso martini to choose from. We recommend both and don’t be shy to ask the servers for their selection of high-end spirits to sip and mix with your favorite, even if it’s just a bit of club soda with a nice scotch.

The food at Diplomat Prime is meant to impress your palate. We had a chance to enjoy a mix of seafood and juicy steaks, such as fresh lobster and a steak cooked in such a way that it felt soft as you chewed and sipped your favorite drink.

One more and very impressive aspect of the restaurant is their exceptional wine program. Not only has it received recognition in the 2024 Restaurant Awards by Wine Spectator, giving the restaurant a nod as one of Excellence when it comes to their carefully selected wines, but it makes the restaurant stand-out as one that offers top notch wines at a price that works with each unique bottle.

Diplomat Prime has been tirelessly working to keep this honor, and to prove that they are worthy of being one of the best restaurants to enjoy amazing food, food that is paired with wines that complement the flavors in the dishes.

When we visited and were introduced to the list, we were impressed by their selections of red, whites and sparkling options. The best part of our meal that evening was having an expert, such as a server or manager, come by our table and happy to recommend what could work best with our meal.

If you are a wine lover, you are in luck. The restaurant offers many unique red wines in its collection, with over 300 varieties sourced from rare and diverse vineyards around the globe.

As a red wine drinker, expect everything from a bold California Cabernet Sauvignon or one of the smoothest Pinot Noirs that I’ve ever had.

Make sure to take the time to visit Diplomat Prime. You will always remember and never regret the dining experience.
