Enjoy a Flavorful Comeback at Hereford Grill

Iconic Miami Restaurant Will Open in Spring 2025 Under the Da Silva Hospitality Banner,

Now under the Da Silva Hospitality (DSH) banner – best known in Miami as owner/operator of Coral Gables’ celebrated Zucca restaurant – Miami’s legendary Hereford Grill will return to the Miami culinary scene when it reopens in Spring 2025. Located at 782 NW 42nd Avenue (LeJeune Road), the doors will open soon to unveil the restaurant in its newfound glory, complete with an extensive redesign of the space and a complete menu refresh that both honors the restaurant’s legacy and moves it forward. Explains Da Silva Hospitality owner Erasmo Da Silva, “Hereford Grill has been a cornerstone of Miami’s culinary scene for nearly 30 years. Now part of the Da Silva Hospitality family of restaurants, it will return with a gorgeous new look and an elevated menu concept we are confident will please longtime fans and tantalize the uninitiated.”

The backstory: Mr. Da Silva, whose father started DSH in Venezuela more than 70 years ago, took a special interest in the history of the restaurant and committed himself and his team to returning the eatery to its former glory but taking it beyond with an expanded menu concept featuring open fire cooking at its heart. In preparation, the culinary team traveled to Argentina and consulted with Corte Comedor, a Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant of much renown, to help solidify his vision for the new Hereford Grill. The heart of Hereford Grill will be its top-quality meat program, founded on a dedication to traceability and sustainable production methods. Hereford Grill will offer beef sourced internationally, from Argentina and the United States and points in between, raised according to strict animal welfare standards, hormone-free, and fed a diet that promotes health and optimal growth. The restaurant will offer the same commitment throughout the menu. By partnering with local farmers, dishes will include fresh, seasonal, and top-quality ingredients. The concept prioritizes elevating menu offerings while supporting the local community and sustainable agricultural practices.

The Hereford Grill promises a menu that showcases these highest quality ingredients with dishes both familiar and new to steakhouse diners. In addition, the menu will be tempting and varied with multitudinous choices spanning many categories. Menu highlights guests can expect when Hereford Grill opens its doors include Cravings (starters) such as Short Rib Croquettes with a Romesco sauce, Empanadas, and Beef Tartare with fried sweet potato strings; and seasonally driven selections From the Garden like Roasted beetroot salad with stracciatella, pistachio, basil and balsamic and Endive Salad with fried capers, Pecorino cheese, toasted peanuts and lemon anchovy dressing. Meat lovers need look no further than a perfectly cooked bone-in Tomahawk Steak for two (naturally paired with flavorful sides) or Lamb Sausage with hummus and yogurt. Dessert options include Flamed crepes with dulce de leche or a classic Tres leches cake.

A classic Miami restaurant and a celebrity magnet in its heyday, Hereford Grill will re-emerge as a contemporary, welcoming venue and ideal dining destination. The restaurant will seat approximately 250 indoors and out, with plenty of room for large groups for festive events and a private dining room.
