Fortune Magazine Recognizes Fifth Third as One of World’s Most Admired Companies

Fifth Third has been consistently recognized as one of the few U.S.-based banks to be featured in Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies list.

Fifth Third Bank has been recognized as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune, based on the valuable feedback received from executives, directors, and analysts. The ranking is a testament to the company’s dedication to delivering solid returns for its long-term investors, empowering its customers with innovative solutions, and creating a culture of connection for its employees. Fifth Third has consistently been recognized as a leader among banks. In 2023, Fifth Third was named “Bank of the Year U.S.” by The Banker. It is also included on the following lists: TIME’s World’s Best CompaniesForbes’ Best Employers for Diversity, and Fortune’s America’s Most Innovative Companies

“We’re honored to be included on Fortune’s list of Most Admired Companies for the first time,” said Tim Spence, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Fifth Third. “We’ve worked hard to build a company that delivers strong returns for our long-term investors, delivers innovations to empower our customers, is a vested partner in the community, and creates a culture of connection for our employees.”

In the corporate reputation survey, Fortune collaborated with Korn Ferry, which included around 1,500 candidates, comprising the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue and non-U.S. companies in the Fortune Global 500™ database with revenues of $10 billion or more. The top-rated companies were selected from that pool of 645, and the executives who participated in the voting process were associated with the companies in that group.

Korn Ferry asked a group to evaluate companies within their respective industries based on nine criteria, including investment value, quality of management and products, social responsibility, and ability to attract talent. The February/March 2024 magazine issue features the complete list and will be available on newsstands starting Feb. 20.
