Broward College, Urban League of Broward County, and the Community Foundation of Broward are partnering to offer a community-wide job fair from noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Galleria Fort Lauderdale, at the east end of the mall near H&M. Prospective employers scheduled to attend include Amazon, Broward Health, Broward Sheriff’s Office, Castle Group, CITY Furniture, Coca-Cola Florida Beverages, Enterprise Holdings, FedEx Ground, Memorial Health System, Publix Super Markets, Royal Caribbean Group, TD Bank and others who will be recruiting for careers at all levels.
The event will feature opportunities for professional headshots, interviewing hot tips, skill-building games and a family-friendly DJ. Local high school students will have a chance to win prizes by participating in a “Passport to a Career” Galleria scavenger hunt. Trained staff will be onsite offering workshops to help guide candidates.
The Employment Management Program for Labor Opportunities that Yields Success (EMPLOYS) team plans the interactive community job fair as an extension of Broward UP (Unlimited Potential). Broward UP is Broward College’s service model to ensure all Broward County residents have access to post-secondary education and gainful employment.
Organizers encourage job seekers to dress appropriately and bring a resume, if applicable. Career candidates can pre-register here and be entered into a special drawing. For more information, contact browardupemploys@broward.edu.
