Gulf Building LLCĀ completed construction of the new L.A. Lee YMCA Mizell Community Center for YMCA of South Florida at 1409 NW Sistrunk Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. The four-story, 70,000-square-foot mixed-use building, includes ground-floor stores along Sistrunk Boulevard, an outdoor swimming pool for community swim lessons and a rooftop terrace. The buildingās second and third floors are dedicated to wellness and fitness activities, featuring an indoor basketball court and gymnasium, locker rooms, a black-box theater, a youth zone, offices and support space. Broward College will use the fourth floor for classrooms, labs, and meeting spaces that promote educational goals, including general academic development degrees and college-entry preparation.
