Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation Launches “Year-End Giving 4 Kids” Campaign Marking Its 20th Anniversary

All funds raised go to providing emergency financial assistance to children fighting cancer.

The Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation (JJCCF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to children fighting cancer, is celebrating its 20th anniversary by launching a special fundraising campaign. The “Year-End Giving 4 Kids” campaign aims to raise $100,000 within 34 days by uniting various organizations, local businesses, teams and individuals with JJCCF’s CEO, president, and Founder, Sandra Muvdi. The campaign will commence on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, and run through to Sunday, Dec. 31, providing ample time for contributions to this noble cause.

For 20 years, the JJCCF has helped more than 6,700 children fighting cancer, raising over $5 million to support them. Sandra Muvdi, who started the foundation after losing her daughter, Jessica June Eiler Muvdi, to leukemia in 2003, personally runs the programs, working with each family one-on-one to understand their struggles throughout the journey of childhood cancer.

“Reaching the 20-year milestone and commemorating all of our positive achievements following the heartbreaking loss of my daughter is truly moving,” Muvdi says. “The contributions we have received throughout the years have been vital to maintaining the services we provide to families. “It’s imperative that we come together as a community to raise funds.”

By donating $20, 10 individuals can provide a family with a month’s worth of food. All the funds raised through the “Year-End Giving 4 Kids” campaign will be directed towards helping local children and families affected by cancer. JJCCF’s fundraising initiatives have significantly aided families fighting childhood cancer by providing them with essential support services and emergency financial assistance for basic needs such as food, transportation, rent, utilities, and medical expenses.

Since 2007, The Wasie Foundation has been supporting the JJCCF with funding. During the current “Year-End Giving 4 Kids” campaign, the foundation has pledged to match donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000, providing a unique opportunity for contributors to double the impact of their donations and support local children fighting cancer.

“I am so grateful to The Wasie Foundation for being such an incredible supporter throughout the years and who continues to champion our efforts to fulfill our mission of helping children and their families fight cancer by providing emergency financial assistance for basic human necessities and supportive care services,” added Muvdi.

It has been reported by the National Institutes of Health that over 17,000 children in the U.S. receive a cancer diagnosis every year. Unfortunately, 84% of families who are affected by pediatric cancer also experience significant financial difficulties, which emphasizes the crucial requirement for support services. Cancer is the primary cause of disease-related death in children.

Donations of any amount can be made directly at JJCCF.org. For more information about the campaign, please call 954.593-5603.
