The first branded residences from Italian fashion and design house Missoni is under construction in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. The 57-story, $150 million Missoni Baia by OKO Group and Cain International will top out at 649 feet with completion scheduled in late 2020.
Asymptote Architecture of New York used aerodynamic columns to minimize frames around the windows. The fin-like corner columns echo the sails and hulls of yachts. The interior incorporates Missoni’s trademark colorful design palette and furniture collection. Swiss landscape architect Enzo Enea will weave together the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The tower will have 249 residences, at one to five bedrooms and 776 to 3,788 square feet. Features include a flow-through deck designed for all-day sunbathing with cabanas, four swimming pools, tennis court and a fitness center and spa overlooking the bay. missonibaia.com
