Construction is officially underway on Ombelle Fort Lauderdale, a two-tower luxury condominium project in Flagler Village that will include the first Equinox Fitness Club in Fort Lauderdale.
Developed by New York-based Sky Equity Group through its South Florida division, Dependable Equities, Ombelle is slated for completion in 2028 at 300 NE Third Ave.
The project recently completed pre-construction test piles, following early work that included soil testing, asphalt removal and the relocation of mature mango trees. Drilling is now underway. The developer has also committed millions of dollars toward upgrades to aging water and sewer infrastructure in the surrounding area.
Designed by ODA Architecture, the 1.6 million-square-foot development will feature two 44-story towers with residences ranging from studios to four-bedroom units and penthouses. Prices start in the $500,000s.
Ombelle will offer more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, in addition to a 35,000-square-foot Equinox Fitness Club. Plans call for sunrise and sunset pools, yoga and Pilates studios, saunas and steam rooms, a cold plunge, two indoor pickleball courts, golf simulator, mini-golf course, podcast studio, co-working lounge, pet spa and children’s playroom.
Ground-floor retail, dining and service businesses are also planned.
