Jessica Muniz, a Pompano Beach mother, returned to Broward Health North after recovering from a groundbreaking surgery to remove a life-threatening brain tumor that unexpectedly began bleeding, triggering multiple seizures. The procedure required her to stay awake and aware to preserve her speech functions. Muniz reunited and expressed her profound gratitude to Dr. Ali Ghods, the neurosurgeon and the ICU nurses who played critical roles in the life-saving procedure.
