Playing video games was once looked upon as an unproductive way to spend time. Today, it’s a billion-dollar industry referred to as Esports, which involves video game competitions between individual and team players. Million-dollar prizes and college scholarships are available for those skilled enough to become professional gamers.
To further explore how the world of Esports has used innovation to develop over the years and its future in the South Florida marketplace, Tech Hub is hosting an online Community Coffee forum to discuss the topic at 8 a.m. on July 20.
Industry experts who will attend the panel include Shane Vander Koi, president of HADO, Marcus Howard, CEO of MetArena, Derek Watford, co-founder of High Point Gamer and Juan Duque, co-founder and CTO of Gaming Frog.
