Visionnaire, the Milan-based furniture company (with a Miami flagship) known for its plush, glamorous designs, has unveiled the Babylon Rack project by Alessandro La Spada. Conceived as a work of fully integrated mini-architecture—with functional features for studying, working and relaxing—the piece reflects the expansiveness and versatility that is a reflection of the pandemic era. Visionnaire’s philosophy is that every room is required to be a dwelling in its own right, complete and independent. Conceived for different uses throughout the day, the modular sofa features shelves and object caddies, with built-in LED lighting and an innovative wireless system—inserted in the armrests—that permits recharging of lamps and smartphones. Babylon Rack is covered in Pray, a special new leather with antibacterial properties that are effective up to 99%.
