12 New Leading Men Set to Strut the Runway for Local Charities

Over 700 tickets have been sold to the top-tier event.

The excitement is building for Galleria Fort Lauderdale’s BBX Capital Men of Style, brought to you by Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. 12 remarkable new men will take center stage on the runway at this season’s most charitable fashion event, hosted by WPLG Local 10 Anchor Jacey Birch, with entertainment provided by DJ Jay McCracken.

Celebrating its 18th year, this vibrant event continues to highlight influential men making valuable contributions to the community. This year’s Men of Style spotlight event has already sold over 700 tickets and has raised more than $2 million in past years for esteemed local charities that enhance the quality of life for those they serve throughout South Florida. ACAs in previous years, this charitable event is anticipated to sell out again.

“Men of Style has become a hallmark event for Galleria Fort Lauderdale, and each year we are amazed by the commitment and passion of the honorees who advocate for their causes,” Melissa Milroy says, senior marketing manager of Galleria Fort Lauderdale. “This event not only showcases the power of community and the difference we can make in supporting those who need it most but also serves as a preview of fashion trends found at our Galleria Fort Lauderdale esteemed retailers.”

The 12 extraordinary men from South Florida who have selflessly dedicated their time and resources to take the runway in the latest fashions from Macy’s, Dillard’s and Banana Republic to support their selected charities are:

  • Baldwyn English, External Affairs Manager for Florida Power & Light, Broward County (Art and Culture Center Hollywood)
  • Emmanuel Garnier, Division Comptroller, Hypower (HANDY)
  • Israel Gomez, Partner with Citrin Cooperman Advisors LLC (Leadership Broward Foundation)
  • Captain Lee Rosbach, Superyacht Captain, Author and TV Personality (Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center)
  • Ramon Moreno, Director, Mike Sipe Entertainment (Kids In Distress)
  • William Schultz, Chief of Police of the City of Fort Lauderdale (The Pride Center at Equality Park)

Attendees will be treated to live entertainment and a selection of gourmet dishes from esteemed local restaurants, including Aquaplex Fort Lauderdale (previously known as Lips), Bahama Breeze, Cafe Vico, The Capital Grille, Epazote, Gulf Stream Distillery, Hoffman’s Chocolates, Il Mulino, La Fuga, La Mexicana Taco Bar, Livia Bar & Grill, Lona Cocina & Tequileria, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Season’s 52, Sweeter Days Bake Shop, Todd’s Catering and Tulio’s Tacos & Tequila Bar. Additionally, there will be an open bar featuring select beverages.

Transcend Cruises, along with the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, a participant in Men of Style, is hosting an exciting ticketed raffle. Participants can win a “Symphony Sojourns: Great Composers Along the Rhine River” cruise for two, scheduled for June 19-26, 2025, with a retail value of $8,000 (based on double occupancy). Tickets are available for $50 each, and only 150 tickets will be sold to support participating charities. This luxurious seven-night river cruise features exquisite cuisine, stunning art and architecture, along with private classical performances. The journey begins in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and includes stops in Bonn, Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Mainz, Wertheim, Würzburg, Bayreuth, and Nuremberg, Germany. The prize package covers accommodations aboard The Gentleman, gourmet meals, complimentary beverages, and entertainment throughout the trip. Raffle sales will close on Dec. 4 at 11 p.m. and the lucky winner will be revealed during the Men of Style runway show. (Additional rules and restrictions apply.)

A complimentary raffle for a two-night stay at event sponsor Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel featuring a $150 La Fuga dining certificate and a $100 Escape Rooftop certificate will be available to all attendees.

Tickets are $150 per person, including complimentary valet parking. The Transcend Cruise raffle and online voting for the leading Man of Style are available at $25 per vote. All transactions are available through www.galleriamall-fl.com.

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. As an adjunct assistant professor, Limsky has taught journalism, film and creative writing at the City University of New York, Pace University, American University and other colleges.
