Favorite Quote: Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to Her – Luke 1:45

Fun Fact: I delivered my first 1st born son two days before my graduation from Medical School and made it to the ceremony to walk the stage.

What challenges have you faced in your career, and how did you overcome them? In my pursuit of becoming a physician while in undergrad, I spent a summer at a medical school and was directly told by an advisor, “people like you do not become a physician.”

I overcame that by first anchoring my identity and validation through the lens and love of Christ. Then I continually celebrate & give my unique attributes to the role of a Physician. I created solutions by coloring outside of the lines while changing the face, age, gender and the practice style of medicine as an expert physician.

What has been the most monumental moment of your career thus far? Inauguration & Dedication of my Medical Office, Cornerstone Medical Group Inc.

How is the healthcare industry important to you personally? Healthcare is where the ground is leveled. Illness is illness and when that hits close to home, we recognize what truly is important in this life and we quickly realize we are more-so the same than different.

How did the pandemic disrupt your specific role in the healthcare industry, and how did you adapt? Learned the need to quickly pivot and avoid analysis paralysis. This pandemic helped me clearly define the role of Cornerstone Medical Group Inc and the value of personalized holistic care it provides to patients while enhances individual wellbeing.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten? My dad regularly reminds me of new challenges I face or career goals that appear unreachable. He says, “Sabine, you can do it, first; you are a child of God; second, you are my daughter and the child of a tiger is always a tiger.”

What do you love most about working in healthcare? Transforming Lives and Change the Health Trajectory of Families.

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
