“The term up-and-comer, to me, describes a person who is redefining the usual pathways to success. As a Cuban/Colombian American, I have learned that if you want to succeed at something, you must pursue it with passion and flair. Life and, by extension, work is about being part of the solution, listening to concerns and working on creative ways to resolve issues. I take that perspective with me to work every day. I take pride in my ability to cultivate relationships that create value for all involved. This talent has led me to where I am today. I am fortunate to work in an industry where my personal successes run parallel to making a difference in my community. Being identified as an up-and-comer is an honor. However, it is an honor that signifies I am at the beginning of my summit; and my drive is to reach the mountain top.”
