Julia Wyda, a Partner at Brinkley Morgan, served as the 99th president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association (“PBCBA”) in 2021-2022. Under her leadership, the PBCBA hosted its first town hall on the gender pay gap and gender equity issues in the legal profession, moderated by Hilarie Bass, past president of the ABA; hosted free webinars to educate its members about the many reports being issued by Florida Supreme Court-formed workgroups that could bring significant change to the practice of law in Florida; and worked closely with Former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, Barbara Pariente (now retired) to encourage pro bono legal service. Her year was a year of education, mentorship, and inclusion. Wyda is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Marital and Family Law. She has been a strong advocate for women lawyers with families applying for and taking the board certification exam. She is one of four members of the Florida Bar Family Law Section’s Marital and Family Law Board Certification Review Course Committee, working to help exam takers learn everything they need to know to take and pass the certification exam in her area of practice.
