2023 Human Resources Honoree: Michael Higgins

Michael Higgins is an International Human Resources leader with extensive experience across all HR disciplines in a variety of best-in-class, industry-leading organizations. He is currently the Vice President of Human Resources for Resorts World Bimini, which operates a 750-acre Hilton resort, casino, beach club, and cruise port in Bimini, Bahamas, and the Hilton Miami Downtown. Higgins splits his work time at Resorts World Bimini’s offices in downtown Miami and their property in Bimini, Bahama. While most recently, Michael has worked in the hospitality and casino/gaming sector, he has previous experience working in the aerospace and defense and financial services sector. Higgins is a Floridian having moved to the state at the age of 1. He was raised in Port Orange in the Daytona Beach area. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida’s College of Business with a degree in Human Resources Management. He and his wife of 27 years, Michelle, raised their two daughters in Cocoa Beach. Michael and his wife now reside in Fort Lauderdale.
