Discover the Caribbean’s Beauty and Adventure With Scenic Eclipse II Sailings This Fall

This stunning yacht has been thoughtfully crafted with first-time Scenic visitors in mind who are seeking an unforgettable ultra-luxury experience on the water.

The ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, has been christened and is ready for its inaugural season in the Caribbean this fall. Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has designed itineraries from three to 11 days, giving North American guests a taste of true luxury while sailing close to home. Scenic Eclipse II is a globally deployable ship at home in Antarctica or the Mediterranean, but it shines in the Caribbean, where guests can enjoy warm-water amenities. The vessel features custom swimming platforms, a host of watersports equipment, beach BBQs, two state-of-the-art helicopters, and an eight-guest submarine, allowing guests to enjoy the ship inside and out thoroughly.

In mid-October, Scenic Eclipse II offers guests four unique ways to experience the ship and the islands and waters of Bermuda and The Bahamas. Guests have the option to choose from the five-day Taste of Bermuda, departing from Portland, Maine, and arriving in St. George, Bermuda; the five-day Bermuda Escapade, departing from Bermuda and arriving in Miami; or the three-day Taste of Bahamas, departing from Miami and arriving in Nassau, Bahamas. For those seeking a more comprehensive experience, guests can combine all three options and embark on the 11-day Bermuda & The Bahamas cruise, departing from Portland and arriving in Nassau for an extravagant voyage.

On any of the itineraries available on Scenic Eclipse II, guests can enjoy a variety of dining options. With ten distinct experiences, guests are sure to find something to satisfy their culinary cravings. For those who love sushi, Sushi @ Kokos offers fresh rolls made with fish flown in regularly from Japan. Kokos also offers contemporary Asian Fusion for lunch and dinner, while Night Market @ Kokos provides an intimate dining experience for up to eight guests. This unique menu blends Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern flavors in a cooked-before-your-eyes experience. For those who prefer French cuisine, Lumière is the place to be. Each multi-course meal at Lumière begins with caviar and a champagne toast. Azure Bar & Café provides indoor or terraced dining all day, with options ranging from bakery goods to healthy meals and snacks to barista-made coffee. Guests can also participate in tastings, culinary masterclasses and more at Chef’s Garden @ Epicure, a presentation kitchen and tasting room adjacent to Azure Café.

The Yacht Club offers a satisfying dining experience with breakfast, lunch, and gelato options. Guests can choose between served buffet items or a la carte dishes. The largest restaurant on the yacht, Elements, features classic dishes such as steak, seafood, and Italian cuisine. The restaurant is also decorated with various art pieces. For a more exclusive dining experience, guests can opt for the invitation-only Chefs Table @ Elements, which offers an immersive and interactive 11-course tasting menu showcasing culinary mastery and creativity. Guests can unwind between meals at the Lounge, where the Whiskey Bar serves more than 130 whiskies worldwide. Shipboard entertainment also provides a lively atmosphere. Additionally, guests can ring their butler anytime for in-suite dining, including breakfast on their private balcony, drinks with friends, or a late-night meal.

The five-day Taste of Bermuda sailing (Oct. 13-17) from Portland, Maine, to St. George’s, Bermuda, offers guests the chance to indulge in shipboard amenities while also exploring the beauty of Bermuda. Sightseeing drives take guests past pink sand beaches and charming island architecture, while harbor cruises offer breathtaking views of the surrounding waters. Guests can also visit the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, which provides a fascinating glimpse into the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle. Those interested in experiencing this unique adventure can book their suites, which start at $2,245 per person based on double occupancy.

On the five-day Bermuda Escapade (Oct. 17-21), guests had the opportunity to explore the island on their own before departing and enjoying the offerings of Scenic Eclipse II. Upon arrival in Miami, the guests were treated to a final breakfast on the ship before leaving for the airport or continuing their exploration. The suites were available for $2,245.

During the three-day Taste of the Bahamas sailing from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas (Oct. 21-23), the cruise made a stop at Andros Island, where guests could relish the beauty of this virtually untouched paradise. They could swim or snorkel in the turquoise waters, lounge on white sand beaches, search for the Bahama Parrot and other birds from the shore, or explore the island’s unique geography. After bidding farewell to the island, the ship headed to Nassau, where the guests disembarked. Suites for this journey began at $1,495.

The 11-day Bermuda & The Bahamas sailing (Oct. 13-23) commenced in Portland, Maine, where the cruise started with fresh lobster and the vibrant colors of fall. The journey concluded in Nassau, Bahamas, where crystal-clear waters and swaying palm trees welcomed the guests. Suites for this voyage started from $10,045.

While on board, guests had the chance to unwind and recharge. The ship featured the impressive 5,290 ft2 Senses Spa, equipped with saunas, temperature-controlled plunge pools, a steam room with aromatherapy, experience showers, an integrated ice fountain, a KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds, an ocean-view lounge with color light therapy, and dedicated male and female wellness areas, along with the relaxing Vitality Pool. The Sun Deck (Deck 10) offered private cabanas, ample seating, an outdoor pool, and the indoor/outdoor Sky Bar, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoying beautiful views during sail away parties. A well-equipped gym and a dedicated yoga/Pilates studio were crafted for wellness opportunities, while the state-of-the-art theater provided entertainment and lectures.

Scenic Eclipse II featured 114 all-verandah suites ranging in size from 345 feet to 2,659 feet, offering guests plenty of space to unwind. Every guest enjoyed personalized butler services, luxurious amenities, in-suite drinks and dining, dinner and spa reservations, and individual attention.

The sailings were eligible for Scenic’s 2-for-1 fare program, with fares inclusive of the 2-for-1 fare savings, pay-in-full savings, and Scenic Select savings, presented as a per-person rate for double-occupancy cabins.

His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.
