HCA Healthcare to Bring New Emergency Department to Hollywood

The Nashville-based company has one freestanding emergency department in Homestead and is planning another in Boca.

HCA Healthcare, one of the largest for-profit healthcare providers in the country, is proposing to build a nearly 11,000-square-foot free-standing emergency department in Hollywood that would house exam rooms, a diagnostic room with X-ray equipment, a CT room and a pharmacy, it was reported by The Business Journals. HCA is said to be working with local attorney Heidi Davis Knapik and architects Hereford Dooley on the project.

That Nashville, Tennessee-based company operates over 180 hospitals and approximately 2,400 sites of care across 20 states and the United Kingdom. Founded in 1968, HCA has grown significantly since then through acquisitions and expansion and serves millions of patients every year.
