On May 19, SOS Children’s Village Coconut Creek celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its brand-new playground, made possible by the generosity of dedicated community partners and supporters. The event brought together donors, staff, and local and state elected officials, to commemorate this exciting addition to the Village, with heartfelt remarks delivered by Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold and SOS Children’s Village Coconut Creek CEO Jillian Smath, MSW. A special thank you was extended to those who helped make the playground a reality, including the Ingold Family Foundation, Weston Jewelers, Debbie Glick, Holman Automotive, Kiwanis Club of Ft. Lauderdale, SafeSun Foundation, Teton Nation, Florida Panthers Foundation, Arby’s Foundation, and the BOMAR Foundation. The playground was also dedicated in memory of Barry Glick, honoring his legacy with laughter and play for generations to come.
