Leopard Catamarans Unveils Its Leopard 40 Powercat

The yacht builder and broker has offices in Dania Beach.

Leopard Catamarans recently showcased its latest offering — the Leopard 40 Powercat (Leopard 40 PC) — with a sunset cruise on Fort Lauderdale’s Intracoastal waterway. The guests were given VIP treatment onboard the ship. They enjoyed exploring the latest Leopard 40 Powercat, a testament to Leopard Catamarans’ leadership in cruising catamarans. This new addition to the Leopard Powercat series features cutting-edge technology ensuring optimal reliability, speed, stability and fuel consumption for seasoned and new boaters. With the Leopard 40 Powercat, cruising possibilities have been taken to a new level for a true reinvention of the power catamaran industry.

Leopard sailboat and power catamaran lines are renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and top-notch performance, making them a top choice for the modern seafarer. These boats are designed with a range of equipment and layout options tailored to each boater’s unique journey. With over 50 years of customer feedback, Leopard Catamarans has partnered with South African boat builders Robertson and Caine and Naval Architects Simonis Voogd to create the latest Leopard range of blue water cruising catamarans that are spacious, robust, and performance-driven.

The Leopard 40 Powercat is an expertly crafted addition to the successful Leopard 46 and Leopard 53 power catamaran models. Its impressive capabilities allow it to reach cruising speeds of up to 17 knots and top speeds of over 20 knots, providing passengers with a thrilling and agile experience while maintaining remarkable seaworthiness. Additionally, this vessel offers a comfortable and functional living space for a relaxed life at sea, with each area thoughtfully designed to prioritize comfort and functionality.

“The Leopard 40 PC embodies the distinct characteristics that appeal to a variety of new owners,” Katie Campbell says, Marketing Manager for Leopard Catamarans. “Through this event with a stunning Fort Lauderdale backdrop, we were excited to showcase the new Leopard 40PC, which has been meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of comfort and seaworthiness.”

It was constructed with both comfort and functionality in mind and has plenty of communal areas, such as the aft cockpit, flybridge, aft decks, and l-shaped galley, which are perfect for entertaining while at sea. Moreover, its clever design also includes an interior steering position that ensures maximum safety while allowing for a perfect peripheral view of the sea, all while remaining sheltered from the elements.

Below deck, the Leopard 40PC’s three cabins feature generous island beds and sea views in the hulls, ensuring privacy and comfort.

The Leopard 40PC specifications include:

  • LOA: 40’ 0”
  • Beam: 21’ 8”
