Lighthouse Point Marina Launches Partnership With Gulfstream Boat Club

Members have numerous boat options at their disposal without the responsibilities of boat ownership.

PORT 32 Marinas has furthered its collaboration with Gulfstream Boat Club by offering the boat membership club at its recently acquired Lighthouse Point Marina. Led by owner Alex G. Warner, South Florida-based Gulfstream Boat Club provides a first-rate fleet of boats without the burden of ownership. It opened its Delray Beach club in 2009, later expanding to Boynton Beach and Lake Worth. In 2020, Gulfstream Boat Club partnered with PORT 32 Marinas to open boat clubs in Tierra Verde, Tampa and Palm Beach Gardens.

The concierge-style member service provides a fleet of newer and larger boats from trusted brand names. The flexible membership options offered by Gulfstream Boat Club are tailored to meet the needs of busy families, frequent travelers and avid boaters. Every boat in the fleet is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and comfortable amenities and is maintained in optimal condition. Additionally, the fleet is regularly updated with the latest models.

“We are pleased to have found a wonderful partner in Gulfstream Boat Club that delivers an invaluable boating experience to its members,” says Austin Schell, CEO of PORT 32 Marinas, which owns, operates, develops and acquires marina assets in various Florida markets across both coasts. “The Club allows boaters to experience the joys of life on the water, without experiencing the undertaking of boat ownership.”

Gulfstream Boat Club has a limited number of memberships at each Club and has recently welcomed new members across its PORT 32 locations. Members can choose between flexible hourly plans or high-value unlimited plans. The hourly plans are valid for two years and are ideal for seasonal visitors or frequent travelers. On the other hand, the unlimited plans offer the best value, with unlimited boating for six months, a year, or two years.

“Gulfstream Boat Club’s partnership with PORT 32, with premier marina locations, is a natural fit,” Warner says. “Both organizations offer upscale products and an unparalleled level of service to provide a premium boating experience to its members and customers. We are pleased to continue to grow our partnership with PORT 32 Marinas.”

His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast.
