Men Giving Back of South Palm Beach County Award Over $500,000 to Local Nonprofits

The organization was founded in February 2020 by a small group of motivated men from backgrounds in business, finance, health care, hospitality, and law.

Men Giving Back South Palm Beach County held its Third Annual Golden Grants event at the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, which awarded 24 South Florida charities with $530,000 in funding. The event saw the gathering of almost 250 members, nonprofit nominees and guests of Men Giving Back, who were treated to lively music, top-shelf cocktails, dinner and a raffle featuring jewelry donated by Diamonds Direct

Over 85 local charities submitted their nominations for the Golden Grant Awards. After thorough reviews of the applications, 24 semifinalists were selected and received the highly anticipated ‘Golden Ball’ announcement. The finalists were chosen randomly by drawing 12 Golden Balls from a cage. The four major grant award winners were then determined by spinning the MGB “wheel of giving,” with each recipient receiving $100,000. The remaining finalists and semifinalists were also granted funds, with $530,000 awarded during the event. This amount exceeded the combined total of the first two years of Men Giving Back’s grant program in 2021 and 2022.

Winners of the 2023 Golden Grant ($100,000 each) were:

American Association of Caregiving YouthBoca Helping Handsthe Hanley Foundation; and Love Serving Autism.

“It’s hard to describe the joy we all feel as a group to have an opportunity to help so many impactful charities,” Dr. Nathan Nachles says, one of the founding members of Men Giving Back. “Listening to their inspirational stories of the work they do in our community every single day, and knowing how critical these funds are to support their mission… it’s truly our honor to help each and every one of them.”
