Music Icon will.i.am and FIRST Join Forces to Bolster STEM Education

The fundraising gala was held during Miami Art Week.

At Miami Art Week’s First Inspires Gala held at Loews Miami Beach, the event was graced by the presence of will.i.am, the frontman of Black Eyed Peas. The tech-savvy celebrity was seen enthusiastically participating in the “cocktail and robots” welcome reception, riding the latest motorized innovations created by the talented First robotics team students. He showed great interest in the student-led project pitches, learning all about coding and the upcoming competitions. His dedication to fostering a passion for technology and innovation in young people was evident, and this made the night about more than just glamour; it was also about embracing the future.

The collaboration between FIRST, an inclusive and team-based robotics community that offers a range of programs for students, and the i.am/Angel Foundation, founded by will.i.am, aims to shed light on the crucial role of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in shaping the future of today’s youth.

The gala was graced not only by will.i.am’s star power but also by the funkadelic George Clinton and the entrepreneurial Mike Bezos. However, the night was more than just a party; it was a collaborative effort to inspire and educate the next generation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics trailblazers. Will.i.am and his associates transformed what could have been an ordinary gala into an unforgettable, star-studded glimpse into the future of innovation.
