A transformational mixed-use development, just steps away from Miami’s Health District, is eyeing a late 2020 completion—and is already leasing space in its Class A office building. River Landing Shops & Residences, encompassing 2.2 million square feet across more than 8 acres, features 345,000 square feet of retail/commercial space, waterfront dining, 528 market-rate apartments, and some 2,000 parking spaces.

The team of Stephen Rutchik, Tom Farmer and Tyler de la Pena at Colliers International Florida is leasing the 135,000-square-foot, LEED-certified office tower at 1400 NW N. River Drive, which overlooks the Miami River and downtown skyline. Office tenants will have access to a private 17,000-square-foot outdoor plaza, and an array of national and local retail shops, and fast-casual and upscale restaurants. Retail tenants set to open soon include Publix, AT&T, Old Navy, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx and Burlington Stores. River Landing will provide office tenants a private shuttle to transport them to/from mass transit stations, including two nearby Metrorail stations and the Tri-Rail. Another plus: The project will have a private water taxi connecting the complex to downtown Miami.

“River Landing has become a catalyst of change and a hub of activity, connecting the communities of Allapattah, Overtown, Little Havana, Downtown and the Health District,” says Coralee Penabad, co-founder of Urban-X Group, the developer of River Landing.
