SFMA Presents Exclusive “Women in Manufacturing” Speaking Series

The fireside chat will feature Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, former CEO and president of Celebrity Cruises.

The South Florida Manufacturers Association (SFMA) will host a highly anticipated event in their “Women in Manufacturing Speaker Series” at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Lauderdale Yacht Club. The gathering will feature an exclusive fireside chat with Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, a globally recognized leader and trailblazer in the manufacturing and hospitality industries. It aims to provide attendees with the opportunity to gain insights from one of the industry’s most influential figures. The proceeds from the event will support Junior Achievement of South Florida, an organization dedicated to empowering young girls to pursue their dreams.

Lutoff-Perlo is the current president and CEO of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee and the author of “Making Waves.” Her innovative leadership and strategic foresight have earned her widespread acclaim. Under her guidance, the pioneering programs she has spearheaded have redefined industry norms, serving as a source of inspiration for both women and men aiming to lead with purpose and ingenuity.

“Reflecting on my journey and achievements, I realize that none of it would have been possible without living by the mantra, ‘nevertheless she persisted,’” Lutoff-Perlo says.  “We all have the power to create change in our own ways, and I hope this conversation highlights the importance of drive, ambition, leadership, empathy, and paying it forward. When we achieve something unprecedented, we open doors and make a difference for others.”

The event provides attendees with a unique chance to network with professionals who share similar interests, industry experts, and individuals driving change. Tickets are $95 and bundle options are offered for group purchases.

“Our mission is to champion the needs of manufacturers, and empowering women in leadership roles is a key part of that,” Matt Rocco says, president of the SFMA. “We are honored to have Lisa share her invaluable insights as we continue to support the professional growth and success of women driving change in manufacturing and across industries.”
