The Belgrove, Autograph Collection Nears Opening in West Palm Beach

The resort will join Autograph Collection Hotels’ portfolio of over 320 independent properties.

Marriott International recently reached an agreement with Witkoff, Access Industries and Pyramid Global Hospitality to launch The Belgrove, Autograph Collection. Set to debut by the end of 2024, The Belgrove will be situated along Lake Mangonia, just a brief 10-minute drive from the center of Palm Beach. This unique modern sanctuary will exude sophistication and relaxed luxury, beautifully intertwined with the vibrant culture of Palm Beach.

The Belgrove is set to undergo a complete property-wide makeover next to the highly regarded Dutchman’s Pipe golf course. The transformation will include 150 guest rooms, redesigned public spaces, a revamped arrival experience and lobby, upgraded food and beverage outlets, enhanced fitness and spa facilities, two pools and outdoor patio areas, and expanded meeting and function spaces. By 2025, 22 villas will provide more accommodation options and investment opportunities. The hotel’s bright and elegant design will introduce a lively atmosphere and enduring charm, setting it apart from anything else in the area.

“We are excited to announce the arrival of The Belgrove, a highly anticipated resort property, years in the making,” says Jonah Sonnenborn, senior managing director and head of real estate at Access Industries. “The resort will offer families, friends, and groups a place to gather and share special milestones. We are honored to have incredible partners on this project and look forward to welcoming future guests and the local community.”

The Belgrove offers carefully crafted accommodations with spacious interiors exuding an elegant, relaxed island vibe. Anticipated amenities comprise private balconies showcasing sweeping views of the breathtaking natural surroundings and nearby golf course. Suites and larger rooms will provide generous dining areas, inviting guests to use the upcoming private dining and butler services.

“Our mission is to cultivate an ambiance of British Caribbean hospitality throughout our rooms and suites,” says Kai Fischer, managing director of The Belgrove. “Each room is meticulously designed to evoke a sense of refined tranquility, providing an escape from the demands of daily life.”

The Belgrove

The Belgrove will offer five unique dining concepts as part of its onsite amenities, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. Notable concepts include Society48, an imaginative American brasserie serving globally inspired dishes from land and sea. Inspired by the 1950s in West Palm Beach, Deep End will feature a full-service pool bar and kitchen offering refined approaches to poolside fare. Additionally, there will be a beautiful garden space called Veranda, which will host daily teatimes, happy hours, and social gatherings.

Belgrove guests will have access to the exclusive Dutchman’s Pipe golf course. This partnership offers a top-notch golf experience for all skill levels, allowing guests to book tee times, private lessons, clinics, and caddie services and participate in hosted golf tournaments based on availability.

The hotel will have a serene poolside setting, providing a family-friendly and adults-only pool. The pool deck will also include 16 spacious cabanas and various activities, such as morning yoga and evening happy hour specials.

The Belgrove prioritizes holistic practices to support health, well-being, and restoration. The Belgrove Spa offers expansive treatment rooms and suites, while the men’s and women’s lounges provide relaxation spaces, private locker rooms, showers, and steam rooms. Guests can enjoy complimentary wet areas with cold plunges and saunas to enhance their wellness practice before or after treatments.

In anticipation of the property’s opening later this year, guests can now book a reservation and learn more about The Belgrove on marriott.com or follow @thebelgrove.

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran.
