The Falls Shopping Center in Miami Debuts Life Time Athletic Country Club

Life Time also operates in Palm Beach Garden, Coral Gables and Boca Raton in South Florida.

Life Time, the renowned healthy lifestyle brand, has recently opened its unique athletic country club experience at The Falls, a Simon property in Miami. The grand opening signifies the brand’s second location in greater Miami and fourth in South Florida, showcasing its commitment to expanding nationwide.

Life Time Miami at The Falls was constructed entirely from scratch and is located within Simon’s 55-acre high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. The brand-new three-level athletic club and the attached beach club that boasts saltwater pools, waterslides, cabanas, and a cafe and bar will act as an innovative and exceptional anchor, drawing in more visitors to The Falls.

“Life Time at The Falls is the first of its kind in Miami, and our sixth shopping center destination with Simon as part of our asset-light strategy,” Parham Javaheri says, Life Time Chief Property Development Officer. “We’re eager for Miamians to experience the unmatched programs and offerings Life Time is bringing to The Falls and the area as part of Simon’s commitment to create new experiences for their customers.”

Life Time Miami at The Falls offers many healthy living options for people of all ages. The facility features seven studios offering over 130 weekly classes in barre, cycle, group fitness, Pilates, and yoga. The fitness floor has top-of-the-line cardio and resistance training equipment and spaces for small-group training. Three indoor pickleball courts are available for those who enjoy the sport. Members can also enjoy indoor and outdoor lap, leisure, and whirlpools and rejuvenation suites with steam rooms, saunas, and cold plunge pools in luxurious dressing rooms. The fast-casual Life Cafe restaurant and lounge, full-service LifeSpa and salon, and dedicated Kids Academy are also available for members. In addition, there is a dedicated Life Time Work Club Lounge space for those who need to work while at the facility.

“We welcome Life Time as our newest brand to open at The Falls,” Sundesh Shah says, Simon’s Senior Vice President, Specialty Development. “Simon is thrilled that more South Florida residents can now experience this one-of-a-kind athletic country club. Its world-class fitness and lifestyle amenities only add to how residents can play, dine, and shop at the center.”

Life Time is open Monday through Sunday from 4 a.m. to midnight. For more information, visit Life Time Miami at The Falls, or call 786.977.6100. An online Life Time Miami at The Falls Facebook Community is also available, and people can follow LifeTime.Life on Facebook and Instagram.

Drew Limsky

Drew Limsky

Editor-in-Chief

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. As an adjunct assistant professor, Limsky has taught journalism, film and creative writing at the City University of New York, Pace University, American University and other colleges.
