McCullough has directed HR functions at Keefe McCullough since 2013. Before joining KMc, she was vice president of HR at Magellan Associates, a global IT consulting firm in Chicago. Her career also includes several years as an entrepreneur working as a business and HR consultant. She has directed nearly every aspect of HR.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a bachelor’s and master’s degree in human resources as well as SPHR and SHRM-CP certifications. She has extensive volunteer experience in South Florida.

Her education includes a bachelor’s degree in intercultural communications from Alaska Pacific University. She is certified in Mandarin Chinese.

Batteen joined the company in 2007 as director of talent development, and was promoted to HR director in 2010. In addition to overseeing the firm’s human resources department, including the recruiting efforts, she also manages the firm’s wellness initiatives, which led it to win the Best Health & Wellbeing Program honor at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Excellence in HR Awards.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Kansas. She is active in the community, participating in the local chapter of PEO International, an international philanthropic educational organization.

Perry joined the company in October 2012 and is responsible for all aspects of HR. Before joining BankUnited, he spent seven years as the senior human resources executive for Memorial Hospital West.

He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in history and Nova Southeastern University with a master’s in business administration.

Raquel Diaz

Diaz has 14 years of human resources experience in various industries, including retail, entertainment and biotechnology. In her current role, she partners with the leadership team to prepare for FDA approval and manufacturing of an immunotherapeutic drug to fight cancer.

Diaz credits her career to having worked alongside gifted and passionate women. She holds a master’s degree in HR management as well as a SHRM-SCP certification.

Patti McEwen

McEwen joined the company (formerly Sheridan Healthcorp) in 2010 and oversees all aspects of the HR program. Her role has evolved from being the HR leader of a company with approximately 2,500 employees to one with around 26,000 employees. 

Previously, she was a vice president of DHL Express for more than 20 years, working both in the United States and internationally. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology.

Brian Altschuler

In his current role, Altschuler is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s safety and security functions, facility operations, food and environmental services. He acts as a liaison to the Debbie-Rand Memorial Service League.

Previously, Altschuler played an integral role in leadership and staff development at both Palms West Hospital and Bethesda Healthcare System.

He received a master of science in management degree, with a focus on leadership, from Nova Southeastern University.

Montenegro is the human resources site director for South Miami Hospital, part of the Baptist Health system, and has been there for eight years. Previously, she was principal and owner for Montenegro Consulting, working with private and public clients in all aspects of HR.

Montenegro received her bachelor’s degree in finance and her certificate for management development in training from Florida International University. She holds her human resource development certification from the University of Miami.

Linares has been in the HR industry for 20 years, specializing in hospitality. He began working at the Doral Resort & Country Club—now known as Trump National Doral—as a security officer. He stayed in this position from 1989 until he was promoted to security supervisor at the InterContinental Miami in 1991. He later was promoted to director of security.

Three years later, he was approached by the director of HR who inquired about his potential interest in the field of human resources. He committed himself to the HR industry and realized how much he enjoyed it. After a number of years, he returned to Trump National as HR director.

She has had three gubernatorial appointments, which included serving eight years on the Florida Commission on Human Relations. Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. As an adjunct assistant professor, Limsky has taught journalism, film and creative writing at the City University of New York, Pace University, American University and other colleges.
