World’s First Bentley Motors-Branded Residences Begins Construction On Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach

The 62-story ultra-luxury condominium tower has already sold over 40% of its residences.

Dezer Development and Bentley Motors have officially begun the groundbreaking of Bentley Residences Miami. This residential tower is the world’s first and only Bentley-branded tower, located on an exclusive stretch of oceanfront at 18401 Collins Ave. in Sunny Isles Beach. The building will feature four innovative car lifts and glass-ensconced sky garages in the 216 private residences exhibiting cars like art.

By harnessing the prestige of the highly acclaimed luxury automobile brand, Bentley Residences will emulate a sense of class, elegance, and sophistication and set a precedent for resort-style luxury living on the beach, complete with five-star hospitality and service and unrivaled food and beverage program by Chef Todd English. Leading construction is Coastal Construction, and completion is expected at the end of 2027.

“Breaking ground on Bentley Residences is a huge milestone for the project and another step closer to bringing our vision to life,” says Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development. “We are excited to introduce a completely new elevated residential experience to Sunny Isles Beach and look forward to continuing the relationship with Bentley Motors to deliver a one-of-a-kind project.”

Bentley Residences is a project that Sieger Suarez Architects designed in collaboration with Bentley Motors. The project aims to carefully incorporate Bentley’s most distinctive design cues into the building’s architecture and interiors. To achieve this, the iconic diamond-quilted pattern that adorns Bentley door panels will be replicated on the tower’s façade using diamond-shaped glass panels angled meticulously to refract natural light, resulting in a shimmering exterior when the sun shines. This same pattern is echoed throughout the building, including the diamond-embossed stone in the primary bathrooms and the diamond-shaped floor tiles in the lobby.

“We are very pleased to celebrate this key milestone in the development of Bentley Residences Miami,” Christophe Georges says, president and CEO of Bentley Motors, Inc. “A demonstration of our commitment to great design, the development will create a living experience that expresses the very philosophy of the Bentley brand.”

At the heart of Bentley Residences lies a unique car elevator called the Dezervator, named after its founder, Gil Dezer. This elevator transports both cars and passengers from the road directly to a resident’s doorstep in one swift move. The innovation has created an unparalleled lifestyle for buyers centered around exclusivity and privacy. It has made three- and four-car sky garages within each residence possible, providing convenient and secure storage for private car collections. The sky garages also offer EV charging amenities, additional storage space, and small motorized vehicles like wave runners and motorcycles.

“We are honored to once again be working with the Dezer family for the fourth time and to lead the construction of Bentley Residences, a project that will undoubtedly redefine the skyline of Sunny Isles. This innovative building stands as a testament to the spirit of Miami, a city known for its boldness and vision for the future,” says Tom C. Murphy, Co-president of Coastal Construction Group. “We are proud to be part of this iconic project, which will leave a lasting impact on the community and beyond.”

The private homes available at Bentley Residences are designed to be unique and thoughtful, just like the car lift. They follow the concept of indoor-outdoor living and provide ample private outdoor spaces that offer unobstructed shoreline views. Each balcony has a private heated swimming pool, summer kitchen, and a spacious living area crafted to withstand gusty winds so that the residents can enjoy lighting a candle even when are 30 floors in the air. This ingenious design continues into the home interiors as well. The state-of-the-art kitchens come equipped with Gaggenau appliances, Italian-designed cabinetry, and motorized doors that can be hidden at the touch of a button. The primary bathrooms are designed to function as home spas, with private saunas and behind-mirror TVs, and select residences also have outdoor showers. The interiors also subtly incorporate nods to the Bentley brand, with the iconic diamond patterning, chrome finishes, and textured door handles, knobs, and pulls that will appeal to fans of the Bentley brand.

The Bentley Residences is a 2.4-acre property situated along one of Miami’s most scenic beaches, offering year-round resort-style living to its residents. The tower symbolizes the site’s former Thunderbird Hotel’s exciting future and will honor its legacy. The property boasts a beautifully landscaped beach club and oceanfront pool deck with food and beverage services, cabanas, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, a collection of 20,000 square feet of amenities includes a whiskey bar, cigar lounge, wellness and revitalization spa, cinema, and an oceanfront beauty salon. The exclusive private restaurant will feature a curated menu and dining experience by four-time James Beard award-winning celebrity chef Todd English, which also offers catering, demonstrations, and food and wine pairings to residents. The pricing for the residences starts at $5.6 million, and the sales and marketing are handled in partnership between Dezer Platinum Realty and Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
