YMCA of South Florida Holds ‘Women Know Y’ Health Matters Event

Top physicians from Cleveland Clinic Florida offered valuable insights into vital health issues.

Health Matters, an event organized by the community of women known as ‘Women Know Y,’ was recently hosted to bring together leading physicians from Cleveland Clinic Florida to discuss women’s health. The event proved to be a great success, with over 100 women in attendance at the Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale, gaining valuable insights from the physicians on health issues that are vital to them.

Over 100 women attended a captivating and enlightening presentation and Q&A session sponsored by Cleveland Clinic Florida at the Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale during the’ Women Know Y’ Health Matters event. The event featured top physicians from Cleveland Clinic Florida, including Dr. Michael Sprague, M.D., department chair-minimally invasive gynecologic surgery; Adria Suarez Mora, M.D., gynecologic oncologist; urologist Sneha Vaish, M.D.; breast surgeon Margaret Thompson, M.D.; and plastic surgeon Marlin Newman, M.D, who discussed health topics that matter most to women. 

Women Know Y are like-minded leaders who champion the YMCA of South Florida’s initiatives through active volunteerism, rewarding events, networking and enriching friendships. The YMCA of South Florida is dedicated to strengthening the community by offering over 200 programs that cater to individuals from six months old to 100 years old.
