Sincerus Pharmaceuticals to Add 50 New Jobs at Its Manufacturing Campus in Fort Lauderdale

Sincerus Pharmaceuticals is in the process of expanding its contiguous campus in Fort Lauderdale to meet the growing demand for gold-standard custom skin medicines. As a leader in dermatologic innovation, Sincerus Pharmaceuticals employs more than 100 people at its 20,000 square-foot center in Pompano Beach. A multi-million dollar investment will help build a state-of-the-art square-foot facility to host an FDA Regulated 503B Outsourcing Facility for pharmaceutical manufacturing and research and development. The over 40,000 square-foot facility will add an estimated 50 jobs for residents.

“Sincerus Pharmaceuticals was created to support doctors who were seeking treatments for known skin conditions, but weren’t finding the solutions they needed or were faced by barriers including cost, high copays or prescription substitutions mandated by payers,” says Dr. Spencer Malkin (pictured), Founder and CEO of Sincerus. “Our year-over-year growth continues to outpace the market, reinforcing that our customized approach, physician-driven formulations and low cost is meeting a massive patient need.”

Sincerus and its affiliated service provider, Prescriber’s Choice, specialize in physician-dispensed custom medicines. Through Prescriber’s Choice, physicians can request specific alterations to mass-produced prescription medicines. This process often includes removing inactive ingredients that are known irritants, adjusting dosing or changing the vehicle for drug delivery. The ability to customize medications helps provide essential treatments for dermatologic patients around the U.S. to expand access to commercially available drugs.

“It is outstanding news that Sincerus Pharmaceuticals is adding high-value jobs and expanding its manufacturing capacity in Fort Lauderdale,” says Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean J. Trantalis. “Fort Lauderdale offers a tremendous business climate – a great place to live and work in the heart of South Florida. We look forward to the continued success of Sincerus Pharmaceuticals and other life science companies that choose our city.”

The medicines generated by Sincerus Pharmaceuticals help alleviate some of the most common skin conditions, including acne, melasma, rosacea, psoriasis, alopecia, dermatitis and fungus, among others.

“Broward County is proud to be home of Sincerus Pharmaceuticals, and we are glad the company has chosen to expand its operations as well as add more high-wage jobs here,” says Broward County Mayor Steve Geller. “Pharmaceutical manufacturing is an important sector of our local economy that provides opportunities for individuals to succeed.”
