The Residences at 1428 Brickell Converts to Contract

The Residences at 1428 Brickell, a 70-story condo tower featuring a collection of 189 units priced from $2 million to $7 million, has converted its reservations to contract. The proposed building was recently approved by the Urban Development Review Board (UDRB) and is currently seeking permits to commence construction.

Designed by Milan-based ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the property includes a Penthouse Collection priced from $8 million to over $40 million. 1428 Brickell, LLC, a subsidiary of Miami-based real estate development firm Ytech, is developing the condo tower, with Cervera Real Estate serving as the sales team representing the property while John Moriarty Associates (JMA) is the general contractor.

“The demand we have witnessed for The Residences at 1428 Brickell is a testament to the growing interest for a project focused on the quality, sophistication, and exclusivity that can only be found in the thoughtfully considered private environment of a 189-unit, residents-only building,” Yamal Yidios says, CEO of Ytech. “This has not only highly differentiated The Residences at 1428 Brickell in the market but has also strongly resonated with buyers seeking a superior level of true luxury, livability, and discretion that cannot be found elsewhere.”

The solar energy aspect will be blended into the building’s architectural aesthetic to enhance sustainability and carbon reduction along its 70 floors. The solar cells are integrated into the glass to ensure the effective lifespan of the panels can match the window itself. The property will feature 500 photovoltaic-integrated windows along the west-facing façade, creating a “Solar Backbone” comprising nearly 20,000 square feet of energy-producing glass, capable of producing up to 170,000 kilowatts, or 170 megawatts, of clean energy per year. Ytech has selected award-winning firm Cosentini Associates as the property’s solar energy consultant to implement the technology.

“The Residences at 1428 Brickell has been incredibly well-received in the market and has generated tremendous momentum and reservation activity since launching two months ago,” Alicia Cervera Lamadrid says, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate. “Ytech’s visionary redefinition of luxury living makes The Residences at 1428 Brickell the right project, in the right city, at the right time.”

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.
