Developers Unveil Plans for The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale

The destination is set to become a Monaco-inspired yachter’s paradise.

In a landmark announcement delivered today, real estate powerhouses Related Group (Related), Tate Capital and Rok Acquisitions have partnered with luxury hospitality giant Marriott International to reveal their vision for The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale. This transformative project represents a defining moment for Fort Lauderdale’s luxury real estate and hospitality sectors.

After ten years of meticulous planning, the initial phase of this $2 billion development promises to reimagine the iconic megayacht marina—renowned as the venue for the world’s largest in-water boat show—into an extraordinary Monaco-inspired destination. The development will feature luxury residential towers bearing the prestigious St. Regis brand, an opulent St. Regis hotel, an exclusive beach club and a curated collection of high-end dining venues and retail spaces. The project has officially launched sales for The St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale (The Residences), marking a new era of luxury living in South Florida.

“While Bahia Mar has attracted global yachting enthusiasts for decades with its prime location and unparalleled superyacht infrastructure, its full potential had yet to be tapped,” Jorge M. Pérez says, Chairman and CEO of Related Group. “Blending world-class residential, hospitality and lifestyle offerings, this visionary development is not only befitting of this one-of-a-kind site but also a critical addition to Fort Lauderdale’s broader evolution. With the introduction of The St. Regis Resort and Residences, Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale, our team is cementing the city as one of the world’s luxury epicenters.”

This remarkable development will evolve in two phases, covering over 40 acres of land and water, transforming the site into a lush tropical retreat. At its core are two 23-story residential towers alongside a 197-key luxury hotel, embodying the prestigious St. Regis brand. The visionary architecture, expertly designed by the acclaimed firm Arquitectonica, is enhanced by sophisticated interiors crafted by Tara Bernerd & Partners from London, led by the renowned designer Tara Bernerd. The master plan also encompasses 88,000 square feet of upscale waterfront commercial space, including dining options and boat docking facilities, as well as a public park along the Intracoastal Waterway and a 25-foot-wide pedestrian promenade that wraps around the property’s west, north, and south sides. An exclusive marina will also accommodate megayachts up to 350 feet in length.

“After nearly a decade of hard work, it’s incredible to see our vision finally come to life,” Jimmy Tate says, CEO and president of Tate Capital. “Despite countless obstacles, we never doubted Bahia Mar’s potential. We always believed this project would elevate the entire Fort Lauderdale community, but this collaboration with St. Regis exceeds even our highest expectations.”

Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the exclusive sales and marketing agent for The Residences. Pricing begins at $4.4 million for the condominium residences and $2 million for the resort residences. For more information, please visit https://srrbahiamar.com/.
