In 2022, after seven years as a luxury property specialist at Coldwell Banker, Miami Beach-based Marco Tiné broke away to launch Casa Collection Realty. SFBW checks in with him.
What are your feelings about the market now?
One of the main drivers of the Miami real estate market is the city’s growing population. As more people move to Miami for job opportunities and the city’s attractive lifestyle, the demand for housing increases. Additionally, Miami’s reputation as a top tourist destination has also helped to boost the real estate market, as investors look to purchase properties as vacation rentals.
Do you think interest rates will decline in 2023?
Interest rates will adjust base on the demand of the market, and this is all temporary, so yes, they will go down.
Tell us about one interesting recent sale.
I just put an Icon South beach condo under contract. The sellers are two iconic superstars: TV meteorologist Sam Champion and artist Rubem Robierb. They scored the highest sale price in the building.
