BBX Capital Foundation Provides Grant Application Opportunity for Broward Nonprofits

The nonprofit also donated $200,000 to boost Broward County arts and culture.

The BBX Capital Foundation has launched the 2024 Art and Culture Grant Initiative, offering a total of $200,000 to support arts and cultural programs for South Florida nonprofit organizations in Broward County. Selected organizations may receive contributions of up to $20,000. Eligibility is limited to Broward County art and cultural organizations without state funds. Apply now for this grant opportunity.

“The BBX Capital Foundation recognizes the needs of our arts and cultural organizations and is happy to provide this $200,000 grant opportunity during these challenging times,” says Jarett Levan (pictured), president and CEO of BBX Capital and Trustee of the BBX Capital Foundation. “Funding for our local arts community has remained scarce since the pandemic. The BBX Capital Foundation is supporting these organizations and initiatives because they align with the foundation’s commitment to promoting arts, education, and cultural experiences. We believe they are essential to the growth, economic vitality, and development of our Broward County community.”

Ever since its establishment, the BBX Capital Foundation (previously known as BankAtlantic Foundation) has maintained a strong commitment to supporting arts and cultural programs. Nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in Broward County seeking consideration for this grant are encouraged to submit a letter of intent, not exceeding three pages, along with a proposed budget. The letter should outline the services and programs that will be supported by the funding, as well as the anticipated outcomes. Additionally, applicants should provide details about the target population, the specific geographic area within Broward County to be served, and any potential partnerships or collaborations.

Grant applications must be sent via email to Lois Marino, the Executive Director of the BBX Capital Foundation, at LMarino@BBXCapital.com by 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16. Upon receipt, a panel of experts will review all applications. Due to the high volume of incoming applications, the BBX Capital Foundation will not entertain any phone calls regarding the grant requests. Selected organizations will receive notification via email and a public announcement will be made at a reception in mid-October 2024.

“With this grant, we want to directly support as many wonderful organizations as possible that bring arts and cultural programs to Broward County,” says Marino. “This much-needed funding opportunity can provide a significant boost to organizations that work tirelessly to foster creativity and improve the overall well-being of community members.”
