Grover Corlew today announced that Calaveras Cantina, the popular South Florida restaurant concept known for its elevated Mexican cuisine, craft cocktails and lively atmosphere, will open a new location at the company’s Mayla Pompano mixed-use development, expanding the property’s retail offerings and enhancing the evolving East Atlantic Boulevard corridor.
The restaurant will occupy 6,402 sq. ft. on the ground floor of the renovated 2335 E. Atlantic office building. Calaveras Cantina will offer guests an immersive indoor-outdoor dining experience featuring warm wood millwork, aged brass and hand-finished tile complemented by dramatic architectural elements and thoughtful lighting throughout the space. Outside, the front and side patios will be transformed into a lush landscape of cacti, agave and trailing greenery, illuminated by fire lanterns and warm overhead trellising to create an inviting setting for everything from casual lunches to evening gatherings.

Grover Corlew has consistently invested in the four-acre Mayla Pompano mixed-use development. In addition to Mayla Pompano, Grover Corlew has reimagined both office buildings at 2335 and 2401 E. Atlantic Boulevard. The addition of Calaveras Cantina is part of Grover Corlew’s broader strategy to enhance traditional office properties with walkable amenities that foster community and create vibrant destinations beyond the workday, an approach the company has also taken with its Bank of America Tower in downtown Boca Raton and the addition of Alex Dana’s Mia Rosebud.
