SFBW started out with CEO Connect and later added the very popular CEO Connect Women of Influence events. The invitation-only series includes a cocktail hour and an intimate interview with a leading business professional. Photos and highlights from the interviews are published in the magazine.
January Robert Sanchez Sanchez was named CEO and chairman of Ryder System in 2013 and has led the company to record revenue and profits. Sanchez is also on the board of Texas Instruments.
February Don Campion and Mike Linder Campion is the founder and president of Banyan Air Service, a fixed-base operator at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport with more than 160 employees. Mike Lindner is owner and CEO of Silver Lining Inflight Catering and Jet Runway Café.
March Bob Roscioli Roscioli is one of the pre-eminent marine industry figures in South Florida with the 100-employee Roscioli Yachting Center and Roscioli Donzi Yachts. He started in the marine industry in 1962 and became known for his skilled painting technique.
April Eric Kelly Kelly is the president of Quantum Foundation, which has given more than $120 million to more than 450 health care initiatives. He has served as chairman of the Healthy Start Coalition of Palm Beach County.
AUGUST Lane Kiffin Florida Atlantic University’s new football coach talked about the ups and downs of his career, which included a national championship as an assistant coach at the University of Alabama. The FAU Owls started the 2019 season with a 5-3 record.
July Daniel Cane The CEO and co-founder of Modernizing Medicine shared how the digital health care record company had raised $318 million and grown to 550 employees. In 2019, the company made the Inc. 5000 for the fifth time with revenue growth of 177 percent over three years.
June Albert Santalo Santalo discussed his entrepreneurial ventures, including CareCloud, an IT health care company, Avisena, a revenue cycle company for physicians, and Thrillient, a financial technology and processing company and 8Base, a low-code platform for JavaScript developers. He is CEO of 8Base.
May Patrick Taylor Taylor joined Holy Cross Hospital as an emergency physician in 1988 and became chief operating officer in 2006 and CEO in 2010. He was schedule to leave his position this past Oct. 30.
September Keith Costello Costello is one of the most prominent bankers in South Florida and was leading First Green Bank, which subsequently was sold to Seacoast Bank for $115 million. Costello is president of PBA Financial.
October Michael T. Fay Fay has been involved in $11 billion in transactions during his more than 35 years in commercial real estate. He is a principal and managing director in Miami with Avison Young, leads the company’s capital markets group in Florida, and is on the advisory board of Avison Young’s national capital markets group.
December Teddy Morse The CEO and Chairman of Ed Morse Automotive Group gave an inside look at a mega automotive dealer and the hard knocks approach his grandfather and father took to mold him. In January 2019, his company acquired seven dealerships in the Dallas area.
