Pitbull, the Grammy Award-winning musician and entrepreneur, is expanding his involvement in the world of sports business by taking on an equity ownership role in the World Jai-Alai League (WJAL). In his new capacity, Pitbull will utilize his creativity and entrepreneurial skills to contribute to all aspects of the league’s operations as part of the executive team. The WJAL has garnered significant interest this year, attracting notable ambassadors, investors and partners such as former Miami Heat player Udonis Haslem, NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, retired UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist Monica Puig and professional tennis player Eugenie Bouchard.
The Fall 2023 Season for the World Jai-Alai League has kicked off and will continue till Dec. 15. The league is offering free admission, free parking, and free bets to the audience this season. Visitors can also enjoy free cafecito, sponsored by CAO Bakery, and food by the Culinary Institute in the lounge area. Fans can look forward to an action-packed game day every Friday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., the first serve at 7 p.m., and games lasting past 9 p.m. at the Magic City Fronton located at 450 NW 37th Ave, Miami.
