Spirit Airlines Raises Over $1.2 Million at Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The seventh annual Spirit Open had over 200 participants.

The seventh annual Spirit Open charity golf tournament, organized by the Spirit Charitable Foundation, successfully raised over $1.2 million for nonprofit organizations across Spirit Airlines’ network. With more than 200 participants, the foundation’s charity event highlighted the generosity that fuels its mission and supports the vital efforts of its nonprofit partners.

The 2024 event was hosted by NextGen Aero, with AirbusBank of AmericaPerimeter Global LogisticsPratt & Whitney and Tombras. Participants kicked off the signature philanthropic golf tournament at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Deerfield Beach and later enjoyed an evening of networking at the Fairway Festivities reception. Spirit Team Members, business partners, and community leaders came together to revel in music, food, and drinks, along with a silent auction and a presentation of recognition awards.

“We’re deeply grateful to all of our donors, vendors and participants for their generous support of our seventh annual Spirit Open to further our mission of inspiring positive change in the communities where we live and work,” says Linde Grindle, president of the Spirit Charitable Foundation and Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer for Spirit Airlines. “The Foundation believes that change starts by giving back, and this year’s fundraising achievements will help us partner with more nonprofit organizations and expand our impact across Spirit’s network.”

The foundation allocates all funds raised to organizations that significantly enhance the lives of children and families, support service members, and promote environmental initiatives throughout the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. These nonprofit organizations will receive support from the Spirit Charitable Foundation in 2024:
