Underline Celebration

Miamians celebrated activation of the Underline, which is bringing to Miami the linear park concept popularized by New York’s Highline. Emily Estefan sang three songs, accompanied by parents Gloria and Emilio, as the Friends of the Underline celebration drew 300 guests to SLS Lux Brickell. The Underline is enlivening a 10-mile stretch underneath the Metrorail from downtown Miami to Kendall, with an improved path for cyclists and pedestrians and landscaping that includes activity spaces.
